The Liberty Group was established in 1988. Liberty has extensive experience as a logistics and transportation service provider, operating a diverse group of vessels including roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) vessels, dry bulk carriers, tank vessels, container ships, ammunition vessels, military sustainment vessels and pre-positioning ships.

Liberty Global Logistic (LGL),  part of the Liberty Group of Companies, is a section 2 U.S. citizen and a VISA participant, and was established as a logistics provider and vessel owner/operator.  LGL currently operates the M/V Alliance New York, which is under technical management by Liberty Maritime Corporation, an affiliate of LGL.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

            Liberty Global Logistics (LGL)  joined in a strategic partnership with Alliance New York LLC in 2005.  The first vessel in this alliance -  M/V Alliance New York  - was built and delivered in April 2005.  The vessel is the most modern vessel in the US flag commercial fleet and the US Government’s Maritime Security Program. 

LGL also partnered with Alliance Navigation LLC enabling both partners – through Alliance’s world wide network  - to offer global roll-on/roll-off services, cargo support operations and logistics services.

LGL and Alliance are committed to expand the scope, operation and the services offered to US flag shippers.

Trade Routes and Cargo

Currently, the M/V Alliance New York, a 6,000 unit PC/TC, is trading in “Round-the-World” service, scheduled to complete 4 to 5 voyages a year.  The vessel services the U.S. Gulf and East Coasts and proceeds through the Mediterranean, Suez, Middle East, South East Asia, Korea, and Japan, before returning to the US Coasts.  All types of government and government-impelled Ro-Ro cargo (including high and heavy cargoes) can be transported. The M/V Liberty Eagle, a Con-Bulker, trades world-wide and is committed on spot and time charters in the bulk, break bulk and container trades.
